台中室內合唱團

         成立於2002年，台中室內合唱團（Taichung Chamber Choir）為立基於臺中的專業混聲室內合唱團，長期以人聲藝術為核心，致力於發展具當代觀點、文化深度與國際對話能力的合唱藝術。多年來，本團以高度整合之音樂詮釋與製作美學，建立清晰而穩定的藝術定位，成為臺灣合唱領域中具代表性的專業團隊之一。 

         本團成員由具完整音樂專業訓練之職業歌手與資深合唱工作者組成，透過嚴謹而持續的排練制度，深化聲音技術、音樂結構與合唱整體性的掌握。在曲目規劃上，演出涵蓋文藝復興、巴洛克、浪漫派至當代合唱作品，並特別聚焦於臺灣當代作曲家之研究、委託創作與世界首演，持續以合唱回應語言、土地與時代經驗。

         在藝術實踐與舞台成果方面，台中室內合唱團屢獲國內外專業肯定，包含多項國際合唱比賽首獎與重要藝術節邀演，並於2023年以《人生七章》專輯榮獲第34屆傳藝金曲獎「最佳演唱獎」。現為國藝會「Taiwan Top演藝團隊」之一，長期與國際知名作曲家、指揮家及合唱團體合作，積極參與跨文化交流，拓展臺灣合唱藝術於國際舞台的能見度。

         除舞台演出外，本團亦將藝術推廣與人才培育視為核心使命，透過「中部合唱中心」、附屬團隊建構與跨領域製作計畫，建立多層次的合唱參與平台。台中室內合唱團以人聲為媒介，連結歷史與當代、地方與世界，持續探索合唱藝術在當代社會中的角色與可能性。

Voicing the Contemporary, Singing from Taiwan to the World

        Founded in 2002, the Taichung Chamber Choir is a professional mixed chamber choir based in Taichung, Taiwan. Anchored in the art of the human voice, the ensemble is committed to cultivating choral music that resonates with contemporary sensibilities, cultural depth, and global dialogue. Over the years, the choir has developed a refined and cohesive artistic identity, establishing itself as one of Taiwan’s leading professional choral ensembles.

        Comprising professionally trained singers and seasoned choral practitioners, the ensemble operates under a disciplined and consistent rehearsal system, continually advancing vocal technique, musical structure, and ensemble cohesion. Its repertoire spans the Renaissance, Baroque, and Romantic periods, as well as contemporary works, with a special emphasis on research, commissioned compositions, and world premieres by Taiwanese composers. Through these performances, the choir seeks to reflect language, place, and the cultural pulse of its time.

        The Taichung Chamber Choir has earned widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally, capturing first prizes at prestigious international competitions and receiving invitations to prominent arts festivals. In 2023, the choir was honored with the Best Vocal Performance award at the 34th Golden Melody Awards for Traditional Arts for its album Seven Chapters of Life. Recognized as one of the National Culture and Arts Foundation’s “Taiwan Top Performing Arts Groups,” the ensemble maintains ongoing collaborations with internationally acclaimed composers, conductors, and choirs, actively engaging in cross-cultural exchange and raising the profile of Taiwanese choral artistry on the world stage.

        Beyond the concert stage, the choir regards arts outreach and talent development as central to its mission. Through the Central Taiwan Choral Center, affiliated ensembles, and interdisciplinary projects, it has established multi-tiered platforms for choral participation, education, and engagement. Using the human voice as its primary medium, the Taichung Chamber Choir bridges past and present, local and global, continually exploring the evolving role and possibilities of choral music in contemporary society.
